Kerry established FreshStart Kids Therapy in 2018. Kerry is a specialist Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner. Since becoming qualified as an occupational therapist in 2004, Kerry has worked for many years in the NHS within autism, learning disability, children's and neurological services.
Kerry is a qualified Sensory Integration Practitioner, gaining a Post Graduate Certificate with Distinction through the University of Ulster.
Kerry has specialised in working with children and young people facing barriers to education. Kerry has been working as an independent occupational therapist within school environments, both specialist and mainstream since 2018. Kerry's assessment reports have often been used as evidence to gain EHCPs for children, or specialist provision within them.
Kerry has also been commissioned by parents directly to provide assessments and interventions to help their child with school based challenges and also challenges within the home. Kerry also works with a fostering organisation, and works with Dyspraxia UK completing assessments and interventions to support children and adults with dyspraxia.
Kerry is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration Network. Kerry holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate, is fully insured and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
Hannah is an Associate Clinical Assistant working with FreshStart Kids Therapy. Hannah has 6 years experience working within the NHS in both medical and learning disability settings.
Prior to joining the NHS, Hannah worked predominantly within the learning disability sector, specifically with individuals with complex, challenging needs. Hannah has worked in schools and hospitals and has held a management position within a supported living environment.
Hannah holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Christina is an associate working with FreshStart Kids Therapy. She is a specialist occupational therapist and an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner. Christina qualified as an occupational therapist in 2015 and works as a paediatric occupational therapist within a special educational needs service.
Christina is a qualified Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner and is currently carrying out her final module to complete her MSc in Sensory Integration with the University of Ulster.
Throughout her career, Christina has specialised in working with children and young adults who experience sensory needs and other difficulties participating in a range of education and independence activities.
Christina’s knowledge has enabled her to maintain a complex caseload and she has experience working with a range of diagnoses including autism, cerebral palsy, developmental coordination disorder, ADHD and social emotional and mental health needs. In addition, Christina also has experience working with looked after children, children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and children who present with behavioural needs
Christina’s reports have been used to identify areas of need and support the provision of services. Christina has maintained a caseload of children with sensory needs, providing sensory diets, specific assessments, writing reports and providing packages of sensory integration intervention to support participation in activities of daily living. She regularly works with both the education setting and home environment to provide a wide range of support.
Christina has also managed a department of allied health professionals, worked as a sole occupational therapist and advanced sensory integration practitioner.
Christina has an enhanced DBS certificate; she is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC), is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy and Children, Young People and Families specialist section and maintains membership with the Sensory Integration Network.

Holly works as an associate for FreshStart Kids Therapy and is a Specialist Occupational Therapist and an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner. Holly has a background predominantly working with children and adults with autism, learning disabilities and mental health diagnosis’ and has worked in this area for 15 years. Holly currently works in a residential school, maintaining her own caseload of looked after children and adolescents with diagnoses such as autism, learning disabilities, developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and post traumatic stress disorder.
Holly qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2015 and has gone on to gain further training and experience in Ayres Sensory Integration, ADHD, trauma and attachment, play, feeding difficulties and school based sensory approaches.
Holly’s role involves recommending a range of various therapeutic interventions such as Ayres sensory integration therapy, sensory based strategies such as sensory diets and sensory circuits as well as other bespoke therapeutic packages; all with an aim of promoting engagement in school, hobbies and activities of daily living. Holly has experience of writing reports with recommendations of therapeutic intervention and service provision, administration of various assessment/outcome measure methods, contribution to education health care plans (EHCP) and providing training to families, staff members and commissioners. Holly also has experience of providing clinical supervision to other occupational therapists, students and regularly contributes to service development.
Holly is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and holds membership with the Children, Young People and Families specialist section and the Sensory Integration Network. Holly is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds an enhanced DBS certificate.
Kerry and Christina are taking part in the development of the new sensory integration assessment tool, the Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI). This is an international project to modernise the existing Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT).
